Saying “Thank You” To Our Dance Parents

November is the month of giving thanks and our gratitude list feels extra important during the hectic and unexpected year we’ve had. This month during our weekly dance classes, we encourage our students to think about what they are thankful for as well!

Of ALL the things that we feel grateful for, our dance parents are certainly at the top of our list! Here at Prestige, we seriously have some of the best and most dedicated parents in Cedar Rapids! We wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for them. 

So this November, we are sending a HUGE shout out to our Prestige Dance Parents. There’s so much to thank you for, but here are just a few highlights!

Prestige Parents, Thank You For…

  • Investing in your child’s well being and providing them with fun opportunities. Not every child gets a chance to dance, and one day, yours will thank you for the gift of a lifetime. 
  • Driving your children to and from dance class each week. We know it’s tedious…THANK YOU! 
  • Making sure your child has EVERYTHING they need. Leotards, tights, and even helping them find their lost dance shoes. 
  • Attending your child’s performances. Your smiling faces and loud applauses do not go unnoticed. 
  • Giving them those pep talks when needed. Kids need a pick-me-up sometimes, so thank you for always being there for them. 
  • Being patient and understanding. Two things that anyone living in 2020 needs a lot of!
  • Raising polite, respectful, and hardworking young kids. It makes our job a WHOLE lot easier. 
  • Supporting your child’s passions. You’re giving them something that lights them up inside, which is priceless. 
  • Your continuous support of Prestige Dance Studio. We are sending our enormous gratitude. 

Your unwavering and selfless support is something that makes us appreciative year after year! We really do have the best parents in Cedar Rapids right here at the studio.

This year has been rough on everyone, so more than ever we are wishing our Prestige Parents a Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with your family, whether it be for a virtual meal or an in-person one. Thank you for ALL you do!

With our Annual Recital just a week away, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to thank our studio families. This has been a wonderful year. It would not be possible without the support and energy of our families. Thank you for ALL you do to make Prestige Dance Studio an AMAZING place to dance.  

We are so proud of what we have been able to accomplish together this year. At Prestige Dance Studio, we are very passionate about encouraging confidence building, teamwork, and personal growth. Beyond creating talented dancers, we want our students to be good people both in and out of the dance studio. This mission would not be possible without the trust and support of our studio families.

Parents we would like to thank you for supporting your child’s love of dance. Thank for trusting our vision. Thank you for all the rides to the studio. Thank you for making sure your child has everything they need for class. Thank you for reading our emails! The list goes on and on! Most importantly, thank you for believing in your child’s dreams and our vision for the studio.

Every year we witness SO much growth in our students. From our three-year-olds just finishing their first year of dance to our seasoned performance team members; we are SO proud. Thank you, dancers, for your hard work, positive attitudes, and passion. You encourage and inspire us to become better teachers and leaders.

What better way to finish off a great year than with our Annual Recital? We cannot wait to see our dancers shine on stage June 3. It takes a great deal of coordination to put on a production of this size. Thanks in advance for your energy going into the performance. It would not be possible without your support.

We are so grateful for our Prestige Dance Studio family. We can’t wait to see our students on stage doing what they love!

 

 

Getting To Know Addy!

One of the things that sets Prestige Dance Studio apart from other dance studios is our AMAZING staff. Our staff does their best to provide outstanding customer service and it shows! I’m sure at this point in the year, you have met Addy but we just wanted to give her a little shout out because we just love having her on our team. Addy is our full-time office manager and assistant to Miss Jess. She is a great person to contact for any questions or concerns you have while Miss Jess is with her students.

Favorite Restaurant: Zeppelins (She is a regular hehe!)

Hobbies: Long-boarding, Surfing, Traveling, Attending Music Festivals, Graphic Design

We sat down with Addy and asked her a few more questions about her background and dance memories. Interested in learning more? Be sure to catch Addy at the studio. She loves getting to know all of the wonderful dance families at Prestige Dance Studio!

Where did you grow up? Cedar Rapids – I graduated from Prairie High School.

Where did you go to school and what did you study? Iowa State University for Biochemistry and Business Management and The University of Iowa for Entrepreneurial Management

What has been your most rewarding dance experience? Competition weekends with our Prestige Competition Teams are my favorite. I get to step out from behind the desk and help make sure the kids are where they need to be and prepared for their performance/s. I was a competitive gymnast growing up, competitive dancer through high school and coached Junior Olympic Gymnasts during college so the high energy, fast paced atmosphere makes me nostalgic.

What was your most embarrassing Prestige moment? One time I went tanning before coming into work. At the end of the night, I walked into the studio and saw my lobster-red face staring back at me in the mirror. I had talked to clients ALL night with a bright red face.

Why do you like working at Prestige Dance Studio? I love watching the students develop their talents and reach their goals. Getting to know the dance families and share excitement in their successes is the most rewarding feeling.
